Our Mission

Andover CrossFit is not just another gym; it's a community-driven space where coaching and connection take center stage. Dedicated to fostering not only individual strength but also personal growth, we believe in the importance of being a good human and cultivating a space where you can meet new friends who care about a healthy future as much as you do.

Within our walls, the focus extends beyond mere workouts; our goal is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where individuals from all walks of life can come together to have the best time. Our community ethos is built on the principle of equality, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their fitness level or background, has the opportunity to thrive.

Our coaches are committed to giving members the best hour of their day, emphasizing not only the physical aspects but also the mental and emotional components of their well-being. This approach sets Andover CrossFit apart, making it more than just a gym – it's a place where individuals transform into their best selves.

  • CrossFit is a workout program defined by constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. Designed to improve health, burn fat, and better athletic performance, CrossFit relies on gymnastics, weightlifting, cardio & more to drive results and help athletes reach their goals.

Each session features a different Workout of the Day (WOD), and can be tailored to all fitness levels. Our program works for new members who are just starting out and those who have trained for years.

    Focus: Olympic-weightlifting | Gymnastics | High-intensity metabolic conditioning

How We Roll at ACF - Take a look at how our classes set you up for sucess!

  • This is where we discuss the workout and what we will be doing today. We also have our “question of the day”. A fun, easy way to start class and to learn your classmates' names. We also go over any updates and upcoming events.

  • “Preparation phase”: This is a general movement to raise the heart rate and start sweating a little, to get your body ready for what we are doing today. We also discuss the main movements break them down into progressions and move into a specific warm-up.

  • Our “meat of the class”. In this part of class, we take barbell movements, or gymnastics movements and focus purely on building strength, practicing, and form. Sometimes it will be barbell movements on what we call a “strength cycle” that progresses week to week. Other times, we use drills and progressions to work on certain gymnastics movements.

  • Here’s the fun part :). We execute the WOD (Workout Of the Day) after we finish the strength/skill. Get ready to bring the intensity and move a little faster! Oftentimes the WODs are anywhere from under 10 minutes to over 20 minutes. We try to incorporate some aspects of the strength or skill that day and add in some other fun parts to crank up the music to and get your heart rate up.

  • After we crush our workout, we begin to put our things away and stretch them out, but not before fist-bumping and high-fiving each other! We always end on a good note with our signature ACF clap. This is your chance to bond with your classmates about crushing the workout! Feel free to continue your cool down after class as well to get your body right.

  • Keeping track of your weights in the strength, and ideally, your time and reps of the workout tracks your progress. CrossFit is measurable, observable, and repeatable. Keeping track in the SugarWOD app allows us to see our progress and see how far we have come from day one!

  • ACF and Spark are all about community. Here, you have the chance to work alongside like-minded people who have a common goal of making health a priority. We also understand how important it is to have fun and be social in a safe space that brings together awesome people. This is why we are always putting on fun social events. Be sure to join our Facebook page and keep an eye on the whiteboard for all the fun and don’t be shy! You got this!

  • "As someone who was initially nervous to join Crossfit due to not knowing anyone and a lack of personal confidence in my athletic abilities, I was delightfully surprised by how warm and welcoming everyone was. The community at Andover CrossFit is a genuinely inclusive one, embracing all ages, abilities, and skill types. It is an environment that is not intimidating but aims to be empowering for individuals at any fitness level. "

  • "I started with the 3 pre-requisite fundamentals classes and what stood out to me immediately about the coaches at Andover CrossFit (ACF) was their welcoming approach and genuine commitment to ensuring newbies like me grasped the fundamentals correctly. Their focus on proper technique showed that they cared about my well-being and set the tone for a supportive and safe training environment."

    Jason G.

  • "ACF’s community is their foundation and they have built an amazing member base diverse in age, gender, CrossFit experience, and personality. Seeing these people everyday is a big part of my daily motivation to workout. Knowing that people will notice when I have not been around for a while is heartwarming and gets me off the couch and into the gym. "

    Patrick S.

  • "As someone who started CrossFit in my late 30’s, I love that the ACF classes have athletes of all ages and ability levels. The coaches take the time to truly get to know all of the athletes, helping you approach each workout so that it is within your current abilities but also appropriately challenging. I appreciate that my coaches know where they can push me, understand what motivates me and celebrate my wins with me."
