I’ve been coaching CrossFit for about 2 years. I started my coaching experience at Mountain Strength CrossFit in Winchester, MA.
With zero experience, I applied to an online ad that asked for experienced coaches and figured I’d let them figure out how they were going to say no. Needless to say, I was lucky enough to begin coaching at MSCF and very shortly after, began coaching at CrossFit Route 1 (where I was an athlete). Both gyms taught me so much as a coach very quickly – MSCF was more laid-back and focused on GPP, while CFRTE1 was more competitive and focused on more complex skills and competitive style workouts. I feel that I was at a huge advantage in my pursuit to be a better coach given that I experienced both styles simultaneously.
I have not only coached CrossFit and SWEAT-style classes, but I have also been offering personal training sessions, 1-on-1 Prep Course sessions, and nutrition services. I have also programmed and led a 6-week female only barbell class, which met 2x per week and have led a highly attended and well-regarded 2-hour Snatch workshop.
I am SO excited and grateful to be working at Andover CrossFit. I cannot wait to see what’s to come for us all!
