SPARK FITNESS AND TENNIS CLUB / ANDOVER CROSSFIT – COVID Guidelines and Safety measures

DO NOT ATTEND A CLASS IF YOU OR A FAMILY MEMBER IS SICK:

  • Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID – 19?
  • Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath or sore throat?
  • Have you had a fever in the past 48 hours?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, please do not put our employees and members at risk. Please call a health care professional to get a COVID test and to find out what your next steps are. 

Mask MUST be worn when entering SPARK and throughout the club unless specifically noted otherwise.  This is REQUIRED and will be enforced.

FITNESS GYM GUIDELINES:

We have made a number of changes in the fitness gym to create as safe an environment as possible.  The biggest change is we created plexiglass walls around all our cardio equipment.  We also removed our underused equipment so we could spread out the strength machines and weights on the fitness floors.   Here are the Fitness Gym guidelines:  

  • You must reserve a workout time with our front desk staff prior to showing up to the club via phone.  Reservations can be booked on the half hour, for a total of one hour.
  • SPARK is limiting the number of members that can workout in the fitness gym at one time. Our TOTAL capacity limit for the fitness gym is 11 members. The weight room area capacity limit is 7 members. Members can reserve a specific cardio machine.
  • In the fitness gym, you may workout without a mask but must keep 14 FEET SEPERATION from all other members.  If you workout with a mask, you must keep 6 feet distance. WE WILL BE ENFORCING THIS. If you violate this rule multiple times, we will ask you to leave. 
  •  If you do not reserve a spot in the fitness room, you will not be allowed to workout. 
  • You can register for a class up to 24 hours or the same day.
  • Please have your MASK with you at all times.  When moving around the fitness gym, you must wear a mask. It is only when you are at a workout station and can maintain 14 feet distance when you don’t need to wear a mask.  (Mask are required when 14 social distancing is not possible.)  
  • All members will be given a sanitation bucket when entering the fitness room. You must disinfect your equipment BEFORE AND AFTER you use it. We will be reinforcing this and will ask those that do not follow this rule to leave.
  • There will be no shared equipment that has not been sanitized.
  • General members may only use the fitness gym.  The turf and CrossFit area is for Premium/Unlimited members only.  .

GROUP EX GUIDELINES:

In our main studio, we built SUSPENDING PLEXIGLASS WORK SPACES.  Each space is 6×8 feet and allows 12-14 people to workout in each class.  We have purchase high grade air purifiers that clean the air in the studio in less than 20 minutes.  Here are the Group Ex guidelines:  

  • You must pre-register for a class on MINDBODY.  Classes will be limited to 12-14 athletes.
  • If you do not register for a class, you will not be allowed to participate in the class.
  • You can register for a class up to 48 hours prior to a class. 
  • Everyone will be required to fill out a waiver prior to your first class.
  • PLEASE CANCEL YOUR REGISTRATION IF YOU CAN NOT MAKE A CLASS. Class sizes are limited. If you NO SHOW for a class, you will be charged a $15 no show fee.
  • Each athlete will be given a workout station.  These stations are appropriately separated by plexiglass walls. 
  • Please have your MASK with you at all times.  Masks are required when you are not in your workout station.
  • Fans are not permitted at any time.
  • There will be no shared equipment.
  • Athletes will be required to wipe down all equipment that was touched during the workout.  Sanitation stations will be provided to each athlete.
  • While in class, if an athlete is observed with COVID symptoms, the coach will require that the athlete leave immediately. 

ANDOVER CROSSFIT / SPARK SWEAT / ADULT STRENGTH & CONDITIONING GUIDELINES

Here are the Premium membership guidelines:  

  • You must pre-register for a class on MINDBODY.  Classes will be limited to 12 athletes.
  • If you do not register for a class, you will not be allowed to participate in the class.
  • You can register for a class up to 48 hours prior to a class. 
  • Everyone will be required to fill out a waiver prior to your first class.
  • PLEASE CANCEL YOUR REGISTRATION IF YOU CAN NOT MAKE A CLASS. Class sizes are limited. If you NO SHOW for a class, you will be charged a $20 no show fee.
  • Each athlete will be given a workout station.  These stations are appropriately spaced out – 14 feet separation. 
  • Please have your MASK with you at all times.  Masks are required when you are not in your workout station. .
  • There will be no shared equipment.
  • Athletes will be required to wipe down all equipment that was touched during the workout.  Sanitation stations will be provided to each athlete.
  • While in class, if an athlete is observed with COVID symptoms, the coach will require that the athlete leave immediately. 

TENNIS

Here are the Tennis guidelines:  

  • You must reserve a tennis court or pre-register for a class.
  • If you do not register for a class, you will not be allowed to play.
  • You must wear a mask until you get onto the tennis court.
  • Once on the court, you may take off your mask as long as you can maintain 6 feet separation from all players on the court.  
  • All players must disinfect/wash their hands before and after they play.
  • Players must refrain from high fives and handshakes at the end of the match.
  • SPARK will keep the garage door open and the exhaust fan on as long as we can to improve the air quality on the tennis courts.

LOCKER ROOMS 

  • Mask MUST be worn while in the locker rooms.
  • Individual showers are available.  Group showers are not.
  • Steam and saunas are not available.  We will make them available as soon as the State and Local Board of Health allow us.
